FOCUSING ON SHAPE VS COLOR - Jennifer, A Well Styled Life

Note from Pauline Durban, Founder and President of Covered Perfectly - When Jennifer actually posted this on her blog we sold out on the first day. Hardly surprising as she looks amazing in it. She is a great representative for women over 50. Be sure to check out her blog. The link is at the end.

Over to Jennifer...

I love the crispness of black and white. Toss in some soft gray and it becomes all about the shapes rather than the color. Black can be harsh right next to my face, but a top that leaves plenty of neck showing is softer on me. Covered Perfectly added some terrific new shapes this spring and this top was one of them. It was a major hit with all the ladies at the Covered Perfectly photoshoot and I finally got my hands on one of them.

It’s got the same flattering A-line shape as many of their tops, plus it has a slightly dolman 3/4 sleeve with fun cutouts running down the top of the arm.

I like that it exposes just enough to be alluring without being suggestive. It’s available in pale gray, maroon and the ever-popular black. Update- violet has been added, check them all out at Covered Perfectly

I’m loving the contrast of my pale skin against the black which makes the cutouts pop. This top floats over your midsection and is slim fitting through the lower arm.

I chose simple pull-on pants in soft gray and the comfiest black sandals. The platform on these sandals means the heel is only elevated 1 1/2″. That’s comfy enough for me to wear all day plus they look cute with a skirt.

Notice that the shoes and sleeves both have an X details in their shape. The handbag has a similar shape in the straw weave.

This is a super comfy outfit that would work for date night or daytime running errands. Do you notice shapes more that color?
