As a woman over 50 and an image consultant for the past nearly 30 years, I am always looking for beautiful styles to share with my clients. There are several things I look for including beauty, style and comfort and Covered Perfectly tops have them all.
When I learned that I won the contest to meet my favorite fashion blogger, Susan Street, I was thrilled. But when I realized that I would also be a guest model for Covered Perfectly, I panicked. Fashion model has never been a possibility for me as I am the perfect storm of my Scotch-Irish heritage- short, plump and freckled. Every insecurity I ever had about my body burst to the surface, every rotten photo I have ever taken haunted me. And then there was the Bad Haircut I had in February. Yeah, I was seriously uneasy about the whole thing.
But I reminded myself that this was to be a professional photo shoot with good lighting, expertly applied make-up and a photographer who had likely seen it all and hopefully would apply a liberal dose of Photo Shop. And the Covered Perfectly clothes are designed for Real Women over 40. Check. Check. So I stepped out of my comfort zone, grabbed some Spanx and high heels and headed to LA.

I met Susan online, as I have most of the amazing bloggers that have reviewed
our tops. Susan, from Une Femme d'un Certain Age, shares a lot about her travels
as well as great fashion tips. Be sure to check out her blog. Also please like her Facebook page.
Here's what Susan had to say about the Mandy design.
So…funny story about this top: a few weeks ago a family friend remarked how much she liked it, so I gave her mine. And almost immediately experienced a pang of remorse, thinking about the ways I could have styled it. So I ordered another one. (Pauline, upon hearing the story, generously offered to send it gratis.)
The first time I tried on this Covered Perfectly top, le Monsieur (who usually doesn’t offer unsolicited comments on what I’m wearing) said, “nice top!!” When I asked what he liked about it he said, “let’s just say it plays up your assets.” Well alrighty then! Continue reading

How to Dress to Hide Your Tummy
Without a doubt, the #1 question I get from women seeking advice about their wardrobes is, “My body has shifted and I no longer have a defined waist. How do I dress my new body, hide my tummy and still feel like I look great?”
I promise you do not have to feel relegated to baggy tent-like tops or wear massive amounts of shape wear to trim your tummy. There are great styles available to camouflage and still feel comfortable and attractive.
And, as a recent guest on the ‘Mass Appeal’ (daily lifestyle program) TV show I was able to go relatively in-depth (at least for television – they actually allocated 6 minutes which is an amazingly long segment in TV time) for me to address this subject. They must have known it’s a hot topic!
Here’s your chance to discover the 7 tips for dressing to hide your tummy and still feel great about how you look.
Thank you Ginger for including us, we feel very honored!

Note from Pauline Durban, Founder and President of Covered Perfectly - This is the first interview I gave back in 2013, when I first started Covered Perfectly. Deborah from Fabulous After 40, really knows the right questions to ask. It was a fun interview and I think you will enjoy it. This post was sponsored by Covered Perfectly.
Over to Deborah...
Dressing after 40 can be a real challenge. Our bodies are changing, we’re getting a little rounder and softer, and it’s hard to find clothes to fit right and cover up the not so perfect bits.
