Over to Adrienne...
Sometimes I have the urge to suggest gifts I’ve ordered but not yet received, or things I would love to buy if I had a big enough bank account. And that would be okay – a fun post even – but I thought it would be more useful to recommend the things I have had experience with, wear and use often and would love to find under my holiday tree.
So let’s get right to it! Some of these businesses have offered special discounts for you. Be sure to look for the codes, where they apply, and expiration dates. I will post the info under the business name.
I still have my first Covered Perfectly top, a Simple Comfort in black. Covered Perfectly owner, Pauline, sent it to me several years ago and I instantly became a fan. The Micro Modal fabric is so soft and super durable. Now I have several pieces hanging in my closet. These days I am loving this Boat Neck top. It’s flattering and I like how deep the black pigment is. It’s a fantastic layering piece to wear under coats, long cardigans, vests or ponchos. And it really shows off a statement necklace or scarf.
One of Pauline’s newest items is this Leisure Suit. You can wear it around the house, as pajamas, or dress it up and wear it out. I just got mine and love how comfortable it is. I often stay home, working on the blog or writing freelance articles, and I want to be comfortable and presentable. I wear the top with jeans sometimes. It’s the perfect tunic length. I bought a blush Leisure Suit for my mother for her birthday in October. She loves it!

I am so glad I found KayandStar. A couple of years ago Tamera Beardsley told me about them on Instagram. I decided to order a couple of necklaces from their Etsy shop, then I couldn’t stop buying them! I have probably a dozen or more KayandStar pieces I have either purchased myself or been given. I wear them frequently and they have become part of my signature style. And I love to give them as gifts.

I have been sleeping on Savvy Sleepers for years. They are so soft and come in lots of pretty colors. I love that with Savvy Sleepers I don’t get creases on my face like I used to with a regular pillowcase. And I wake up without bed head! My hair is smooth and free of tangles. It’s my favorite beauty secret and they make excellent gifts – for women and men!
Sonoma Lavender started in Kenwood, the small Wine Country town where I live. In fact the owner is a friend of mine! Rebecca created an extensive line of lotions, candles, oils, sachets, robes and more. My favorite items is this fantastic neck pillow filled with lavender and flaxseeds. On cold days, when I just can’t seem to get warm enough no matter how many sweaters I put on, I pop mine in the microwave for a couple of minutes then rest it on my neck. It stays warm for a good long time and helps to ease neck pain.

Any gift from Stella Carakasi will be something I love. One of my favorite pieces from this season’s collection is the Rare Form Cape made with an angora wool blend. I wear it any time the weather calls for cozy pieces. I usually style it with jeans or leggings and a long beaded KayandStar necklace. The best part is it’s reversible. It’s like having two capes!
Owning a Vitamix blender is such a treat. My husband bought me one a couple of years ago for Christmas and I could not be happier with it. I can easily blend smoothies, juice veggies and fruit, and I can even make hot soup. It has a setting that heats while it blends! Oh, and fauxtatoes (mashed cauliflower) are so tasty and fast in a Vitamix.
I bought these classic rain boots from Hunter about five years ago and I am so happy I did. They were worth every penny. My boots look as new as they did back in 2011 and I always feel stylish when I wear them. They come in a rainbow of colors but good old black suits me best!
A Persolé is both a stylish umbrella and a parasol. Made in Italy with waterproof fabric that is also UPF 50+, Persolé will protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays and keep you dry in wet weather. See the full collection here. My favorite is the Luxe Leopard with Ivory exterior. It has a wood handle with genuine Swarovski crystals.

One of my most cherished pieces of jewelry, aside from my wedding set and diamond stud earrings, is a Gold Rimmed Druzy pendant necklace by Janet Harrer with 24KT Gold Vermeil and druzy agate slice. These necklaces are modern, delicately beautiful and unique. They are also one of a kind. See the other two similar styles here and here. I always get loads of compliments when I wear mine and it goes with nearly every outfit.

My most-used handbag is this black Adora bag. Handcrafted in Tuscany with high-quality leather, it’s a tote that can be left open or cinched up and it comes with a detachable clutch. I have this bag in 5 colors! This time of year I carry my black Adora the most – always a practical choice – but it’s hard to resist their enticing new colors. I love the Cipria, a sand color. And the gray is gorgeous too! And you can’t go wrong with this cognac shade. Sigh, I want them all!
There you have it! These are the items I love, use and can highly recommend. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about these items or just ask in the comments!
Make it a rich day!
