Styling An All White Outfit - Janet, Grandma 2 Glamma

Note from Pauline Durban, Founder and President of Covered Perfectly - Janet is both a customer and a blogger who does reviews. If you read the interview I did with her, you will know that she lost a ton of weight. She sure looks glamorous now.

Over to Janet...

I’m finally getting my Style Club challenges together! Better late than never, right? Lol! I showed you one of the looks I pulled together, from the challenge, last week. I’m not going in order since I didn’t participate in all of the challenges in June.

I didn’t participate at all during July! July was all about color and with the younger littles coming back, I found it to be to be too much! The great thing is you can participate as much or as little as you want! I may go back and work through some of it on my own.

The second challenge for June was to style an all white outfit! I’ve told you before I’m the person who shouldn’t wear white on any day that ends in “Y”, lol, but I do like the nice, fresh, crisp look of white, and I do wear it.

The exercise was to start with an all white outfit and add a colorful kimono, then add a belt for further interest. I still haven’t made the leap to a kimono, yet, but I had just recently bought the Black and Gray Cascading Vest from Covered Perfectly which was, well, perfect. Another piece I hemmed and hawed about. One day I may learn. Everything I have ever purchased from Covered Perfectly has been great!I was concerned it would be too long for me. I ordered it to use as a cover-up when we went to the ocean in June. It’s very light weight and thin and I felt it would be a perfect beach/pool cover-up. It didn’t disappoint!

I started with my white jeggings and a white sleeveless top. Then I added my Cascading Vest. It’s such a versatile piece; that can easily be styled in a few different ways. It is perfect for helping to camouflage those jiggly, wiggly bits.

I loosely tied it between my waist and hip area. This is also how I wore it at the beach for a cover-up.

I decided to add my pink Dooney & Bourke cross-body bag to for a pop of color.

My belted look. The belt is couple of years old. The belt is from White House Black Market.

What do you think of this versatile Cascading Vest?  I liked it so much I went back and ordered it in the Blue and Cream (which happens to be on sale right now). I’m sure it won’t last long so if you like it you better hurry over and order yours!
