In 2016 one of my oldest and dearest friends, Maria, flew to California from Spain to spend my 60th birthday with me. Never one to miss an opportunity, I decided to have a photo shoot while she was here so that she could be one of my models.
This year, Maria turned 60 and I got to spend it with her in Spain. It was so much fun. There were a lot of adventures. She looks absolutely amazing and shows us that age is but a number.
I’m going to share with you some pictures of Maria from the 2016 shoot, as well as pictures from her birthday week (or two).
Lucky that Covered Perfectly provides fashion for women over 60 as so many of my friends fit into that category.
Let's start with some pictures from the shoot.
The picture below was taken at my 60th birthday get together, with Susan Street from fifty not frumpy, now Susan after 60. She was also at the photo shoot that year.
That was then and this is now!
This picture was taken at the theme of Ladies Day at Royal Ascot. It was held at a hotel on the beach and it was a fun day with lots of Maria's friends.
Then we went to Gibraltar for the day. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory where you can get duty free real cheap and everything is English. My mom was here for this trip.
As I said, this is what 60 looks like. Maria takes care of herself and of course, good genes never hurt!
Then there was the Rod Stewart Concert in Fuengirola. I grew up on Rod so this was an awesome experience. We had VIP front stage tickets. So we were right up at the front.
This picture was taken on our way to the concert!
Talking about age, I have to include a picture of my mom. She is 81 and looks incredible. I hope I look as good as her when I'm that age.
I hope you enjoyed seeing pictures of my adventure with Maria.
Good friends are precious, take care of them.
Thank you for being part of my journey
