Over to Polly...

The other day, Pauline Durban, founder of Covered Perfectly, put a comment on Facebook about wearing the royal blue color in her line of tops instead of wearing black, as she often does. I had just purchased her simple comfort top in royal blue, so the post resonated with me.

The Covered Perfectly Simple Comfort top is available in a beautiful shade of blue that will brighten up your day. Not only is the color pleasing, the MicroModal material is as soft feeling as a worn T-shirt.

Today, my post is about that top and three outfits I created for it. But first, a little about the clothing item.

The top comes in an array of colors, so if blue isn't for you, I'm sure you can find a color that will appeal to you such as coral, navy, teal, or violet, as well as black and white. Because the top runs a little on the snug side, size up. I usually wear a medium or a large, so I sized up to the large and am glad I did. However, the other styles run true to size. You can see all the available colors here. Not only is the top comfortable, the 3/4 length sleeves will help hide those upper arms we often want to cover. The top is long. It will fall below or near the crotch area and cover your belly. My first look is with a scarf that has royal blue in it. I should have folded the scarf better. You'll notice it flared out on me when I took the pictures, but it still looks nice with the top, especially with white pants. What better combination is there than bright blue and white? I chose to create a long and lean look that so works with this top. I'm wearing white jeggings, the folded square silk scarf, and white sandals that extend my leg length even more My second outfit is a combination of white and the bright blue, as well. Notice how the length of the top adds to that long and lean look.
I added a layered necklace which is great for this top, if you decide on the round neck. Covered Perfectly also has a V-neck, Boat Neck, and a Square Neck style. My final look is coupled with the Covered Perfectly Cascading Vest. Even though the cascading vest has softer shades of blue, it still works with this simple comfort top.
I love my cascading vest. It's so versatile. You can tie it, wear it straight, and even wear it as a scarf. Covered Perfectly has a number of these vests. You can see the cascading vest here. You may consider buying a cascading vest to match one of the MicroModal tops. If you purchase 2 items, the third item is free. And, if you wish to buy one or two items, you can use my coupon code at checkout to receive 20% off your purchase. The code is PHG20. Just follow the link to the collection page and you will see all the clothing choices. Remember, as we age, sometimes we rely on black or dark shades to make us look thinner, but colors can give us a healthy glow. Have a bright day full of color!
