Covered Perfectly Teardrop Top - Nicole, High Latitude Style

Covered Perfectly Teardrop Top - Nicole, High Latitude Style

Note from Pauline Durban, Founder and President of Covered Perfectly - Nichole and I have got to know each other better recently. Not only does she look beautiful on the outside, but she also comes across as beautiful on the inside. A very strong woman who is a great representative of women of a certain age.

Over to Nicole...

Classics with a Twist in High Quality:

I always look for high quality classic basic tops that don’t look dated, washed out or frumpy after a year or so. Over the years, Covered Perfectly has been a reliable source for me to get such high classic quality pieces with a modern twist.

For this review, I picked this Teardrop Top because I like modest cleavage and 3/4 quarter sleeves. This sleeve length is perfect to feature a nice watch, bangle or slim wrists. This length is practical at the office and at home.

Keyholes are a big trend right now. This Teardrop like cutout is a classic so the top will still look classic in a year or two from now.

Modest Flash of Skin is Sexy,
but Office-Appropriate:

I am always amazed by the softness of the fabrics of the Covered Perfectly pieces. This top also feels so nice on the skin like all the others I have. I ordered the top in size small. It fits perfectly in the shoulders. The cutout is large enough to show some skin but high enough to not show the “onset of the boobs.” Thus, it meets any work dress code, but great for date night.

It's a Perfect Layering Piece Over 40:

The product is a perfect layering piece for under a blazer or leather jacket on cold winter days. When taking off the blazer or jacket I still look posh chic and office-appropriate. For me, it is important to be able to adjust my clothes to different indoor temperatures. Lecture halls, meeting and seminar rooms are heated with a certain number of occupants in mind. They can be quite cool or warm when fewer or more people are in the room.

A Real Work Horse for all Dressing Situations:

I wore the Teardrop Top at work with my baseball leather jacket for a posh chic Casual Friday look. The flattering side slits (photo below) permit wearing it with pants, jeans, and even leggings! It’s a perfect fit for my everyday life. I think this shirt is a perfect fit for all midlife women who love basics that are great for layering too many dressing situations such as work, going out, and the weekend. The top is also available in navy and this fall’s It color red.

Great Price-Performance Ratio:

I like that I can wear this top in all seasons. I expect to wear it for 2 to 3 years, 2 to 3 times a month year-round. The price is $49.95. Thus, the cost-per-wear would be below a dollar after about two years.

According to my criteria, it’s a winner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Teardrop Top to my best female friend. In a nutshell: the Teardrop is a high quality, timeless wardrobe basic, and a great price-performance ratio for women over 40. It will keep the owner covered perfectly in all kinds of dressing situations in midlife.
